Mission Statement: The mission of Cornerstone Christian School is to educate our students for life through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to help them develop enduring Christian values in a loving, child-centered environment.
School Community: Affiliated with Foursquare Full Gospel Church, Cornerstone School has been serving the South Suburbs of Chicago since 1973. The composition of our student body reflects the ethnic diversity of the communities we serve. Our current enrollment for preschool through eight grade is 370 students.
School Facilities:
  • 1. Built original school facility in 1973.
  • 2. Completed first addition on 1990.
  • 3. Constructed a 10-classroom addition to the elementary school in 1993-1994.
  • 4. Cornerstone Ministries completed a multi-purpose building in 1999 for church, gym, school assemblies, graduations and other events.
  • 5. A newly constructed science lab in 2004.
  • 6. We feature a "State of the Art", wireless computer lab, containing 25 computers.
Academics: The A Beka Book Curriculum used since 1973 provides a strong foundation for excellence in Christian education.
Standardized Testing: The Stanford Achievement Test is given to every student in grades 1-8 each Spring. The scores are compiled by computer and show conclusively that students enrolled at Cornerstone for several years perform above the national average.
Sports and Extracurriculars: Cornerstone offers four sports within the Great Lakes Athletic Conference. The league consists of five Christian Schools in the Chicago area for grades 5-8.
